JavaWorld's
"State of Java on the Mac" session featured eVision
demonstrations as a key Java applications running
on Mac OS X. In the demo, a primitive version of the
Apple Computer logo was sketched, then searched just
based on the drawing. The database returned all of
the images of the Apple logo. A second demo used a
database of faces to locate all bald, clean-shaven
men with glasses. Then by sketching a beard on one
of them men, eVe quickly returned a subset of the
original group, including those who also sported a
